my little boy is so sick, he’s got a stomach virus thats been going around. but he cant handle stomach bugs like other kids can cause he has reflux too. so he ends up vomiting blood cause the stomach acid burns his esophagus to the point that it bleeds and he cant even keep water down so he gets dehydrated quickly. Doc gave him some meds for vomiting/nausea and I’m trying to get him to drink pedialyte so lets see if it works…otherwise, off to hospital for IV re-hydration. ack. prayers please!

God grant him health...
Yogurt (plain, regular, non-fat will do no good)...Yogurt is cool and soothing in nature...It will fight and neutralize the acidity in the stomach of your child...Also, stomachs have naturally occuring bacteria, which during viral infections and diarrhea, die...The culture in yogurt will replace those beneficial bacteria which die out and help in digestion...

Oh, I feel so bad when the kids have to go through illnesses like this. My son had stomach virus when he was only 1 year old, he didnt eat or drink anything for 7 days, and everytime I looked at him, it brought tears to my eyes.
Well, one thing that worked well for him at that time was QEHWA, boil 1 cardamom, small piece of cinnamon, 1-2 cloves... add sugar and salt.
If he gets to drink it its really good for his stomach.
Another thing, is rolled white oats. Cook it in water add a little milk and try giving him. Its the lightest thing to digest.
May Allah grant him fast recovery.

Thank you all again for your warm wishes and prayers. He's doing so much better with the medicine, no vomiting. So now I can focus on getting him re-hydrated and then getting some weight back on him. Its so hard seeing such a happy little guy be so sick that all he does is lay sadly on the couch. When I get a good amount of pedialyte in him, he'll play happily for around 15 minutes and then get so worn out that he needs to rest for an hour ot two. Little trooper could just break your heart. But thanks to all the prayers, warm wishes and medicine, he's getting well and avoided the hospital! So thank you all warmly!

Another update! He is playful again, hooray! He looks like a little vampire, so sheet-white and skinny with blood-red eyes (he burst some blood vessels in his eyes from vomiting). But at least he's eating and playing, so much more like his happy little self.
I am SO pissed at his school. There's a social worker there who holds these weekly meetings, she thinks they're SO important and she applies pressure to all parents to come to her precious meetings. Well, the last time Adam was sick, I was told that I sent him back too soon. THIS time, since there was a precious meeting, the social worker told me well, he's stronger than you think, send him in and come to the meeting." Meanwhile, he was almost hospitalized 2 days ago and is still so weak that he plays for 30 min and then needs to rest for an hour. People can be so obvious and stupid.
