i scanned my computer last night with an antivirus, and now no pictures are opening on my computer. when i click on the picture windows fax viewer opens and says "no preview available". i tried opening the pictures with paint but that didn't work either. what do i do?! i have way too many pictures that i cannot afford to loose!
Ok..what extention did you save it as?
something like Mypicture.bmp32, Mypicture.bmp64, Mypicture.gif, Mypicture.ifw, Mypicture.JPEG, Mypicture.png.
Can you tell me what extention it have?
EDIT: To find the extension or file type, right click on the file that you saved and click properties. It should show you with the extension.
um....i didn't quite find the extension. (sorry i'm not very computer savvy) but they are all jpegs. and i just discovered that i am able to view some pictures and not others. so now i'm even more confused

take them in liux, read file headers to extract info.
then read the boddy of picture to recreate them.
Marwah might b .. ur pixs ver infected with virus and ur antivirus mgt hav deleted ....ths could b 1 possibility ...?
well..the pics are THERE..they just won't open. whenever i click on them it says "this file cannot be found".
oh and i found out something else, it might not mean anything but i'll tell you guys anyway. if i put the file in a folder and have the view set on thumbnails, i can see the picture..but ofcourse if i open the folder and try to open the file, it doesn't open
