hmmmmmm .. scratching head .. eddy, try using a 100% magnification setting while scanning the pic and then use resizing in the graphix program to resize it accordingly.. (otherwise u end up with things like this one) .. also, once u r ready to scan the pic, put a selection border around it so ONLY the pic area is scanned and not the white space..
