How do you know what a musty underwear smells like?
Ask her nicely how often she takes shower? Tell her something like:
I have long/short hair and I take shower everyday or every other day (I suppose) and it takes a long time for my hair to dry. How often do you take shower?
And hopefully she'll tell you.
Give her a gift.
