I just wanted to share my experience with Xenab, my outfit arrived yesterday, it is absolutely gorgeous MA, I ordered item 85 in the ready to stitch and had such a short time in which it was needed.

The quality of the fabric and kaam is beautiful MA. The fitting was good too despite my measurements were not very good ;-S

The communication was also good and Xenab understood my requirements quickly, she was emailing and msging me during the whole process!

I am writing on this forum due to the high level of frustration that I am going thorugh!! :mad::mad:

I had ordered 2 dresses ( actually wanted to order 4 but because of the service I ordered only 2 from her) to wear to my cousin’s wedding.

For the Mehendi, I had sent her a picture of the outfit which I liked. So she told me that she will be designing the dress herself along the lines of the dress pic which I had sent. We discussed the color combination, kaam, fabric materials etc. I had asked her to send me the sketches of the dress which she was going to be designing so that I atleast had an idea as to how the dress will look like. And for the valima, I sent her another pic, for which I asked her to make a replica of it.

So here goes the issues whoch I had with her :

First of all, She is extremely slow in replying to emails. She would reply to one email like after 4 days and then when I would send her a reply to her reply , she would take another 3-4 days to reply to that. Waiting for a reply for 4 days is extremely frustrating, esp when I had given her a deadline. . ..I needed the dress within 3 weeks and she had agreed that she would be able to have them ready by then. I was dealing with Proto at the same time, and she was replying to my mails almost instantly.

I really don’t know if she was purposely ignoring my mails or what because she was replying to the mails which my cousin had sent to her. I would like send her 2-3 reminder emails to get a reply. And her reply was like – “ Oh im so sorry Nadia I had actually replied but it got saved to my Drafts by mistake”. Are you kidding me? :disgust: And she has given me this excuse like atleast 2-3 times.:smack:

I could figure out that she was definitely checking her emails because a) she was replying to my cousin’s emails and b) was posting on FB and replying to the comments on her FB Page – so there’s no way that she was not checking her mails at that time

***Secondly, ***She had promised that she will be sending me sketches for the dress which she was designing. And guess what? She DID NOT!! I asked her so many times to atleast send me pics of the dress which she was designing so that I atleast had an idea. But no, she completely ignored that!

She did send me a pic or 2 of the fabric sample or gala sample etc – but that really doesn’t help!! How am I supposed to imagine a dress if you only show me a kapra sample to be used?:smack:

She had asked me to send the payment by Monday….fine…I sent it by Sunday itself and sent her an meail immediately with the payment details. Atleast have the courtesy to acknowledge the email and reply that the funds have been received or not.

Today is the 23[SUP]rd[/SUP] already and I need the outfits to be “delivered” to me by the 25[SUP]th[/SUP]. I had sent her an email on Thursday and then another reminder email again today and even sent her messages on FB for which she has not bothered to reply back. This is really very annoying. If she hasnt sent the dresses yet, then there is nooo way I will be able to receive them by day after tomorrow:teary3:

I haven’t seen the dresses yet – but even if they’re really good – it really does not make up fpr the lack of service that she has provided. The basic service - of replying to emails promptly - if that itself is not there, how can your customer be comfortable in dealing with you?

how frustrating for you. to be honest there are very few vendors who can compare to Prototypes level of professionalism ans promptness (i would say i also rate both belledonne and panache highly in this category) but i did have similar frustrations with Xenab, she wasnt always prompt with her emails and when my outfit finally arrived it didnt fit! i did send the outfit back to her and it went missing inthe post. Royalmail did an investigation and claimed it was rightly delivered to the address in question. in her defense, she did send me a new outfit but i couldnt wear it to the wedding in question as the outfit wasnt ready in time due to all the drama associated with it. I really hope you get your outfits in time.
My one bit of advice to everybody is please please do your research beforehand, if a vendor has a number of negative reviews dont part with your hard earned cash or pay some in advance and the remainder when your stuff is sent out.

Brummie - i’ve really lost all hope now!!
Ive been literally sending her reminder emails pe emails - even rude ones - but she still has not bothered to reply:mad:
And at the same time she has the time to send my cousin an email enquiring if she would like to go ahead with the order for which my cousin had enquired about!!
Jo orders already hain woh toh sambhaal nahi paa rahi hai theek sey and she’s looking out for more business!! seriouslyy how LAME is that!!
She’s openly advertising on her FB page about new offers for Eid and Bridal collections blah blah and also promptly replying on fb - but not to my emails! How frustrating is that??

Today is literally the 5th day im waiting for her email and i need the dress to be delivered by tomorrow - which I don’t think is gonna happen

But to my disappointment she is not answering her mobile phone and also the landline number is unreachable:(:grumpy:
Im really heart-broken now - I was soo excited and was really looking forward ot receving my dresses and wearing them for the wedding. Now 'll have ot just look for something which I already have and wear 'em * crying at the top of my voice*

And Im sure now if I ask for the refund, she will not give me. These designers are really good in making excuses:hoonh:

I guess I was really naive - I blindly went ahead and placed the order with her on the basis of our communication via emails. I never even though I would actually have to call her up to chase my order:(

oh Nadia, my heart goes out to you hun, This sounds like a complete nightmare. i think its the lack of contact that makes things even worse, especially as she has the time to be posting outfits on her FB page. if she is in contact with your cousin, can u not ask your cousin to find out about your outfits?

Non professionalism all it is. Check proto's fb page, or the ready to wera thread in classified sections, may be you like some dress and it would reach to you till 30th as luckily there are 4 working days ahead, just you have to be quicker. Belle, proto or Catwalk may can help you in this regard

She mentioned that she changed fb settings to obstruct her to post publicly on wall and she has said she has messaged her various times on fb even I assume

**UPDATE

**So, finallyyyy I received a reply from her end. It seems there have been some violent protests there and also the network was compeltely down. So her phone lines and internet lines were down. So, work had to be completely stopped for 3 days.
The dresses are almost done and she will arrange to send them by express courier via DHL. She’s also promised me that she will be sending the photographs to me - so lets see when that happens.

I still don’t get it - if she had the network to update her FB page - why couldn’t she access her emails?:confused:
Anyhow, i really really hope i can get my dresses my tomorrow - and I really hope they’re worth the wait

SO i finally received the dress on the day of the event itself:smack:
However, I must say the dress which she designed was absoultely gorgeous!!:wub:
I got a call from Xenab about 3 days back and she assured me that the dresses were ready and that she will be sending them at the earliest so that I could collect them from the courier company’s office itself in Friday. But then she did not email me the coureir details because of which i couldn’t track my parcel:(

I couldn’t wear the main dress for the Mehendi ( for which I actualy ordered the dress) but then I wil be wearing the 2 dresses for the Baraat and Valima day:)

So my experience with xenabs atelier......my sister has previously ordered from xenab and was wary of me ordering...her clothes are beautiful and stitched wonderfully...the only problem is Xenab doesn't tend to reply back to emails very quickly and doesn't seem to want to send pictures of the outfit...

I have requested on numerous times to see pictures of the outfit to see how it's progressing or if any changes need to be made I can tell her now rather than wait to receive outfit and go through the headache of sending it back to her and trying to get a response from her...

Last email from her was on Monday it is now Friday...she advised the usual protests,work has stopped the outfit will be moving to the second workshop supposedly and she will be able to send me the pictures and this was on monday...received no reply or pictures on tues and emailed her AGAIN on Wednesday and now is have not even received a courtesy email to tell me why I still have no update no pictures and wen this outfit will get completed...apparently on monday there was only couple more stitching days left for it to b completed.....

And xenab has emailed me back this evening....strikes in Karachi....there is a mourning period also going on....but on a brighter note my outfit has been completed since Saturday so nearly 6 days ago...when I will get to see it however is a different story and only xenab nos......she will hopefully email me back...hopefully not 4 days later and update me fingers crossed.....

Wow! we have a mix of replies here. I actually had a wonderful experience with Xenab and always tend to get a reply straightaway!
