It happened last night during a routine reset, the light went out and it never came back on. Not exactly true, it did give one last flicker and made a sound that you would expect from something dying or giving birth and then that was that. I was hoping power supply but that’s not it. Sons of *****es, computer was too young, had a lot of life left in it but what can you do, Allah works in mysterious ways. I hope it’s exchanging hard drives with a Dell, IBM, or even a MAC in computer heaven 72 times over.
Bring it back to life, Get a new Hard Drive.....Happened to my PC also once...ek last awaaz nikli aur chup...uske baad koi aawaaz nahin....had to replace the hard drive....worked fantastic after that....

same has happened with mine. i bought it back in 98. or 99 . i guess
it still worked perfectly well till last week . but now no hopes.
it has a 20 gb hard-disk whicvh is obsolete now. ( now don't laff on this )
and i changed only the cd -rom once.
this P-3 worked really nice for me all those years .
My PC came back alive !! It was giving me its near-death-flickers for quite sometime now, it was rebooting without any reason, I first suspected it was my new hardware, then software then hard drive.............. Goddddd I went thru so much hardwork of reinstalling/restoring my OS......... finally it died on me and I replaced SOB power supply and its back to life
