what you are describing sounds like a proper gharara. i havent seen it, so i cant say for sure, but you would probably look like a bride because as you said, its heavily worked and when you put on your makeup, your jewelry and the dupatta on your head, it should look graceful. lots of brides wear that shape (pic of blue gharara).
