My official stance on Musharraf

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

I believe this cartoon in Washington Times elicited a strong protest from Pakistan (rightly so) and spins Roman’s point.

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

Mushy has worked very hard to get where he has reached Romeo...in the beginning the world and the Injuns hated him...the average paki thought hey this guy makes sense and he's gonna really deliver for once...

5 Years on The world and the Injuns love him and your average Pakistani isn't too impressed with him anymore...so like I said..he has worked very hard...

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

:rotfl:

As one of my average pakistani friend from Faisalabad just recently told me that President Musharaf is “Ay tay her welay gallan kerda rhenda ay” (he just keeps on talking and talking).

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

Zakk, tell me one thing. What he's doing now that he could have not done just by being chief of the army alongside with an elected Prime minister like Nawaz Sharif or anyother for that matter? He has worked hard only for himself. He brutalized the civilian government by taking pangays like Kargil and Kashmir after which he took over and 'resolved' all the tension between India and Pakistan by extending hand of friendship? Wasn't Nawaz Sharif doing the same thing? Actually his resolution with India was more pro-Paksitan than Musharraf's.

But that's just Musharraf. I blame alot of evils that exist in Pakistan now on Military rulers. The most imporant one is the elite mentality. Pakistan has a long standing history of military government. The rule has always yielded power and money and disciplined control of masses because of the nature of this body (as in militiary discipline submission to authority). This long standing tradition of money, power, and totalitarian discipline goes a long way with people living in such a society. It's deep rooted. People get used to feeling "protected" and think in a certain short-term way of a nation that lacks socio-political awareness and ambitions.

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

is it true that punjabis dont like musharraf because he is a muhajir in army? kinda odd though. (apparently usually punjabis are mostly involved in millitary stuff according to some uncles).
nevertheless, i heard karachi has never been this peaceful under any previous governments.

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

Karachi had more troubles due to Zia's ch***pas. And yes, Zia was Punjabi. But this got nothing to do with Punjabis or Mohajirs. Yes, a lot of Mohajirs do like Musharraf for the sole fact that he's one of them which is again clearcut ch***pa.

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

jeez, u cud’ve said that without cursing. i didnt mean to offend anyone. i was just curious since i heard a conversation among old uncles once.

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

How can you say anything of substance without cursing?

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

Only the not-so-enlightened mohajirs like Musharraf. Otherwise, those with even a wee bit of enlightenment do not like or support him.

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

When Ganja, mota, paindu attacks the Judiciary thats all fine cause its done by the democratically elected Punjaabi rite? When Ganja calls Zia Ul Haq his daddy, thats fine cause he probably had somethin to do with his birth....in politics....when Benazir Has her brother killed, hey thats all fine cause she was after all elected...when zardari goes on his 10%+ rampage hey thats all fine ....cause hey is the DOG...the Man...elected representative of the people...When deraanged mullas attack ppl for particiapting in a marathon...well thats all fine, cause they are the elected reps...the Dogs...the Man...when women are not allowed to vote in swabi and mardan, well thats all fine cause its all in the name of democracy, and all those mullas are just fine lookin Dogs...Sunni's killin shia, shia killin sunni...hey who are we to complain...its all in the good name of democracy....

When an elected President attacks EE-RAK thats fine cause he was elected representative....he aint no Dog, he is the DOG...The Man

When the poodle jumps and bites on his master scommand, he aint the kutta he is the DOG...cause he was after all populalry elected....

When crazed Adolf Hitler starts killing and massacring people...well he aint no Kutta....he is the DOG...the Man...cause he was after all populalry elected...

Whencrazed Hindu fanatics attack and demolish Babri Masjid, thats all ok cause it was done by democrats (led by Advani)...hey aint no kutta....he is the DOG...The Man...cause after all he is elected rep....

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

I see what you are saying. Not a big deal, thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

fartguru, what are you smoking? Ok, don't answer that.

Where did I say it's ok for one and not the other? But militiary gotta stop interfering with the civilian mess. Bad or worse, those are elected politicians and unless awam starts owning up to their own mess to choose the wrong ones there is no way out. But who the f is military to come in between?

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

Phew..we finally have Roman's stand of Mush. I guess now we just have to wait for Rani to return.

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

So u like making these nonsensical posts cause that is the only way u can get off…

Who the F said that military sud or is permitted to interfere in country affairs? U seem to be fantasizing with your inflated Musharraf doll…better take your face out of his…

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

Ok, of all the insults that can be thrown towards Musharraff, calling him doll is the most eeww'ing one.

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

A little too overboard, but shouldn't we know why?

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

You're right Lajo. You should.

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

Whoever thinks that Zia or Musharraf are Punjabis, need to get some extra courses in geography and history. Both are mohajirs.

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

lol Faisal bhai. Mojahirs can be Punjabees too.

Re: My official stance on Musharraf

Stretching Punjab's boundries to Delhi, now? Well, ok... no problem! :D

And Zia was born in Indian Punjab... in the city of Jalandhar.
