Precise reasons? Are you serious. These aren't man-made laws. The Quraan prescribes for women to cover their hair and wear an outer garb. Most of the women that I know that wear Hijaab do it because they know its commanded by Allah and not because some authoratitive male figure is forcing them to do it.
