Prayer or regular meditation like Yoga do in fact help people lower their blood pressure and provide a channel to become calm.
However we must remember that prayer is just a means to an end, and not just an end.
Good thing about Islamic model of meditation (prayer) is that it helps to match the daily routine with the circadian rhythm. By allowing our bodies to follow this rhythm has many healthful benefits.
The problem is that many Arabs have started using prayer and mosque as a place to end life instead of extending life.
So I urge Pakistanis or Non Resident Pakistanis (NRPs) to stay at least 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) from Arab inspired prayer places. This action alone will help you draw true benefits of this great way of meditation.
