Visha Amjad, a 13 year old girl from Karachi, Pakistan, was on her way to school with her younger sister on 24th Sep 2014. They were walking the short distance from home to school until they reached a rickshaw stand before trying to cross the road. It was here that Visha was abducted by one of the rickshaw drivers and was driven off before any bystanders could help.
It is believed that the prime suspect behind this crime is Mohammed Bilawal, a man of around 30 years old who had lived opposite Visha’s family for one month prior to the abduction. The night before the incident, Mohammed Bilawal and his wife deserted their home in the middle of the night - Visha’s sister also recalls seeing them both at the rickshaw stand when Visha was abducted. The suspect has a known history of living briefly in different places in Pakistan, getting to know a family with young daughters before abducting them and forcing them into prostitution/marriage with him.
Visha’s family phoned Mohammed Bilawal on the morning of the incident - upon hearing who it was, he switched off his phone and we have been unable to get in contact with him since. A taxi driver in the area reported picking up the suspect and his wife on the morning of the incident - they have not been seen since.
PLEASE spread the message as far as you can, particularly to those living in Karachi and nearby areas. Visha’s family live in extreme poverty and are unable to meet the costs of the police work required - we would highly appreciate donations we can pass onto her parents to enable to police to do their job effectively.

Don’t want to sound heartless or anything but it raises doubts if its a true incident or not.
the family lives in UK and by the wordings"my niece" it seems its an immediate family. if they want to they can themselves send the money to the girls family in Pakistan. i mean why are they asking for donations by creating a Facebook page?
secondly no information is shared as to where the girls lives, which police station they have gone to register FIR, if the FIR is registered or not? another thing, by law the police can not charge the victim’s family for the search job and all, however i know you have to bribe them to get your work done but if even that is what happened with the victim’s family, the media has become so strong in Pakistan, that they or anyone from their family could contact the media to report that police is not co-operating and once the media starts the negative publicity of the police,the police gets bound to help.

I’m actually disgusted that you would think we’d consider making up a story like this, but just to clarify everything for you, she is my husbands first cousins daughter. Therefore, we consider her our niece as that’s what she is.
Of course we are doing all we can to help financially. The Facebook page was not created for donations, it was created to raise AWARENESS. Many of our friends and family, upon hearing about this, asked if they can give donations hence why we created the GoFundMe page to have a place where if they CHOOSE to, people can donate. If you read the latest status update on the page today, you’ll see exactly how dire the situation has gotten for the family.

The FIR was lodged on the 1st day (Wednesday) at Side Thanna Police Station. Relevant SHO is Rana Shafi
We have contacted the media but upon hearing that a) she is not a British citizen and b) her family are extremely poor they don’t seem too interested to run the story.

i thought that you have picked this info from the fb page and posted it here. i actually did not know that you know the poor victim and her family in person and that is a genuine case .
also, there was no info provided about the area and FIR on the fb page when i checked it so the doubt raises.
