i’ve always wanted to visit Shimla but never got a chance until now. iA, i and my family will be visiting Shimla during my next visit to India. it’s a wonderful place, away from the hustle and bustle of the plains. i’m so eagerly awaiting for my upcoming trip to India and to this quiet hill resort.
watch the documentary and i’m sure you’ll enjoy it. lemme know what you think of the place. i intend to meet Mr. Achroo [if he is still alive], a 90 year old Indian Railways Employee, and Mr. Maqsood, a third generation Kashmiri porter working at Shimla Railway Station. they have featured in this documentary and take them to a nice restaurant for lunch.
Re: MY NEXT DESTINATION - SHIMLA, the MANCHESTER of India
i'm sure they do look pretty but think about the 'unwanted' crowd outside your kitchen window. twice as many prying eyes as the number of people outside...:D
Re: MY NEXT DESTINATION - SHIMLA, the MANCHESTER of India
As my favorite Simpson character Lisa Simpson once said “Anything that’s the “something” of the “something” isn’t really the “anything” of “anything”.”

lolz...but it's 'something' to see!
she is just a 'cartoon'...don't invest your faith in such cartoons. frankly, it's worth a visit. ask your Begum saaHiba to take you there once...i'm sure you would want to retire in style in CHAPSLEE, the home of the viceroy to india. :)
