Flame of Life I am really not sure if you can install windows vista on your system because I would need to know more specs. You can go to windows vista site and they have an “advisor” there that can scan your system and let you know whether you should go ahead with the upgrade or not.
I chose HP because it had what I was looking for. Big screen, number pad, webcam, mic, vista, memory, and the price was very affordable. I paid $1,049 plus taxes.

Farishta Yes. I wrote Shikra for copyright purposes as people in the past have used the pictures I took for their own pleasure, without asking/informing me first.

Mine was like $1400 or something (considering the upgrades, etc.) but used coupons and value codes to reduce the price to $1000 with free shipping.
So basically, you got ripped off. *Crap *as I so eloquently put it but if word processor, etc. works then you are good but expensive.

Jaan Leva I paid $1,049 plus tax. I bought it from the store, so no coupon shoupon. I don’t understand, why did you pay 1400 (before discounts) and got one with XP?!?! Yes it’s a little better (TL 56, 2GB SDRAM etc.) but still, I don’t think it should’ve been 400 more, unless you are talking about Canadian Dollars. Yes you can upgrade but it won’t be the same as having original operating system of Vista.

I didn’t pay $1400… if you build a system on Dell’s website, with those specs the price comes around $1400 so then you apply the coupons and dell’s discount, that reduces the price to just around $1,000 (American, tax, shipping, etc. included), the amount, I paid. With the *free *upgrade you do get the full version of Vista Business so you end up with both xp pro and vista business, which isn’t a bad deal.
