My new favourite player

in Pakistani team, Mohammad Hafeez, i think he is
the best fielder in the team
good batsman, if he can get a few big innings he will be next Saeed Anwar
very handy bowler

and ]
he can speak better English than all the rest.

Re: My new favourite player

and apparently this time around he can stop the balls with his bat that are pitched right up to him, unlike couple of years ago where anything that was pitched right up to him eventually hit the stumps. I remember Pollock made a mess of his technique in 2003, lets see he should be facing pollock next week. so we'll find out for sure how much he has improved.

Thats what two years spent outside team should do to you, and this is what Imran Nazir learns if he makes a comeback!

Re: My new favourite player

Don't jump already Icono mian. Hafeez was used, discarded couple of times before, his fielding used to be fine then too.... main concern has been his batting. He was recalled because he performed wonderfully in domestic (esp Twenty20) then he continued performing in Pak A team. I used to be against him after his first removal and after seeing recent performances of our openers in WI we wished (and it was granted :D) for Hafeez. Lets pray for his and our team's success but not go overboard in praising players.

PS: For once stop using English as ANY criteria at all when judging players, please.

Re: My new favourite player

I think Hafeez needs to adjust to his opening spot. It suits him.
His off-breaks are quite handy too plus I like his game temperament.
Hmmm! I’m thinking of trading-off Shahid Afridi for Hafeez now :hoonh:
