Plus it could be nerves/stress from the hectic wedding preps all the way to the anxiety of being on stage and having all eyes on you/judging you etc. I admit it’s easier said than done and we all have to push ourselves to give the benefit of the doubt to the other person and move on; it’s usually not the immediate reaction and requires a conscious effort. Even if she was deliberately pretending not to know you, she can’t continue the act forever. She will have to interact with you afterwards; it’s unavoidable. It’s stressful being a newcomer…so be the bigger person and try to make her comfortable.
I wonder if some mothers/sisters who have had bad experiences with their in-laws give “tips” to a girl about to get married…tips that are only about how to look out for yourself and don’t focus on developing relationships.
