instead of making an excuse that your husband is busy with things, can you be a little direct with her and tell her that he isn’t interested to join the women talk and that it is not appreciated in your setup that men mixes in friendly way with opposite gender who are not family.
Also, tell your husband to limit himself only to doing Salam when he comes across her inside your house or on the street etc.
