most bollywood movies are escapist crap. there are occasional gems but those are far and between. don't waste yiur time, take a walk or read a good book instead.
But those of you that think bollywood traditionally disparages muslims - you guys don't know what you're talking about. Some of the most influential greats of bollywood are muslim, well beyond several times the porportions in population demographics. This has been true in the past and now.

I haven't seen Khan, but if Bollywood is attempting to change its usually negative portrayal of Muslims, then that can only be a good thing.
In my experience the most racist, xenophobic and extremist segment in South asian society is the middle aged housewise aunty. A truelly parasitical group, who have never gone out and done a descent days work. But they do watch Bollywood, and if they are influenced by this, then that can only be a good thing.

My answer is in the same context .. does potraying someone as a “bhai” mean you are potraying a negative image of a community or religion. “Bhais” have been Hindus / Muslims / Christians … in movies. Muslims don’t get preferential treatment

As far as terrorists go .... they are also potrayed by perhaps all the religions .... muslim / hindu /sikh .... ete etc .... so there is no special quota for muslims as terrorist as such. So in case you have a specific case you want to discuss, all i will say for every muslim terrorist character in a movie, there are atleaset 4-5 good characters played by muslims.

Movies are but a reflection of reality. We have heard of terrorists blow themselves up after shouting Allah-o-Akbar. Ever heard of a Hindu/Christian/Sikh doing that ?
