I know this is so sad............
This is a poem that a sister at my masjid wrote....
Never Cease
The tears flowing from my mother's eyes
I am not dead,
I am right here in my father's lap,
reaching out for him,
I am not dead....
My blood hasn't dried yet...
It has become the tears in my mother's eyes,
soaking the holy grounds of Jerusalem
My blood wasn't wasted in vain...
I ask about you mother
I hear your voice, broken with grief...
I ask about my father
Has he joined the martyrs
or is he still fighting with will and determination?
I ask about the olives, about my sister
About Al-masjid Al-Aqsa
And all the calamities it's been subjected to.
I ask about history....Alas!
Where is Salahuddin to see what has become of us!
The enemies hide behind the snouts of their machine guns, aiming at the newborn and the elderly alike, gunning down mothers and their children.
My land will always be free
It will never relent
Will never accept the rule of those who fight God's word.
The imprint of my father's shadow is still on the walls of Jerusalem...
His voice a patriotic song of dignity.
My father's blood has become veins,
pouring out the precious stones of resistence
God's promise will be fulfilled...
"Oh, Allah, Diminish their numbers."
"Oh, Allah, Don't leave, your enemies walking the face of earth"
To the father:
I have exited this world
in your arms
My soul departed my body
in your arms
Raise your head father, high, and attack them fiercely......
Kindle the fires in our nation
for the light of truth shall never be abated
Tell the world about me..
I am the son of Jerusalem,
a cub, weaned on victory...
I come from a land that sprouts up martyrs..
