my mums world

i dont know whether u defeat the purpose, sure ur outlook changes, but is there any harm in knowing? i know when i go back to pakistan and i shatter the bubble my cousins live in, but is it really so wrong to alert them of what can happen if they dont becareful..?

obviously u should have a positive outlook, but one should be aware of the other side too

more simply.. to some extent.. its like the faith in God, one can have upmost faith in Him but one also needs to know that there is a shaitan.. no?

oh.. that i agree with.

i was thinking you were saying that one should believe in Allah, but also bear in mind that there can be other Gods than Allah. Or something.

I dont know.. im continually misinterpreting. bad day.

^ :rotfl: man, ive already been kicked around too much in the past few days.. im not gonna make any more controversial remarks

but i guess another example could be, u have faith in ur God, but you must also understand that other people practice their faith in different ways… same God, different faiths

uh oh.

i sense another misinterpretation coming up.

Same God, different faiths. But their practice is wrong, or atleast not as right as mine?

^ hmm u could take it as that... as my mum said "lekin woh jo kaam kar rahe hain.. woh sahi tho nahin hai"

ofcourse, our world is better than everyone else's

your mum is quite the sage :k: .

haha in her own way i guess :)

is that a ‘her world is different from mine’ comment? :hoonh:

^ no not at all.. me and her live in the same world... just im on the side where theres a window to look through..

:flower1:

best place to sit I agree.

take care, me runs.

:) yeap

take care.. ciaoz

My parents know they have given birth to a devil. They live their life in fear.

:)

^ hehe May God help them

yeah, hopefully a greek god.

^ u and ur fascination with greeks… come to melbourne. We have the largest poppulation of greeks after greece itself…

Mark phillioppousis

the only greeks I have come across have been the ones managing the greek restaurant near our place. And they make me don't wanna be a greek no more. :(

are your parents also living in a bubble where everyone besides your own offspring is an angel?
[/QUOTE]

Na, everyones just what they are for them.. no one's an angel.. lol
i think with parents you gotta be really calm and talk to them like babies.. they are a different generation and we gota communicate with them their way..
i dont think im making sense,, but anyhow it works..

yeah my parents live in another world altogether!?

I still cannot figure out how they even manage to live in this world with some of the nutty ideas in their head.

Sometimes they will nod their head and pretend like they understand what you are talking about.. and for a second you think they actually do.... but they haven't a clue and only hear and see what they want to.

I think this is the case for just about everyone. Never underestimate the power of denial. I am always trying to see things more as they are and undo alot of the assumptions and opinions we kinda absorb from the people around us and how we are brought up... and I still sometimes find myself at times so incredibly blind to some things sometime.

I think we forget even people who can seem to be so simular on the surface can be so totally different on the inside.

Alot of how we see and interpet things has to with what we learn from others and our own experiences.
