My mother is diabetic
Without evening eating her suger is high so the doctors gave her extra medication which isn’t helping
She has tried lots and they give hee really bad gastroenteritis. Her stomach is hard and swollen. And she has arthritis.
What can we do.? Anything to rid of the swollen stomach the gastroenteritis
Sorry to hear about moms condition but you did not mention how high your moms sugar level is? What she is on insulin or tablets? Since you mentioned swollen stomach problem i guess she is on tablets if yes then some of the diabetic tablets have side effects they upset stomach …
if her diabetes is out of control on oral medications, she needs to be on insulin.
This really needs to be discussed with her family doctor or endocrinologist. while she awaits her appointment etc ... she should be counting carbs. There are a multitude of websites that outline what/how of carb counting for diabetics.
Thats what i was gonna say. Thats what happened with my father too . It eventually happened to those diabetic patients (most of the diabetic people) who do not care much of their sugar level while taking oral medicines, their diabetes turns to from type A to type B and in type B the only treatment is (as far as i know) Insulin.
But like i said do not need to worry ask a doctor he will suggest you which type of inuslin is best for your mother
^^All of these are great suggestions, I would try adding some salt to her diet, but make sure her BP is normal. Most of doctors don't prescribe insulin, I think that's what she needs. I'm not sure what 11 12 or 13 is in terms of glucose levels.
Cinnamon, Bitter Mellon (Karella), raw kadu and most of desi totka's are good but that works only if you are on borderline. I mentioned in another post, glucose level can go up even eating pebbles from street.
cinnamon (the cassia kind) is toxic in higher amounts. you really have to take advice from someone who is qualified to comment - desis have a million "home cures" for diabetes and arthritis, most of which involves eating things in abnormal ways.

very true.
you definitely need to consult with a qualified person instead of mixing and matching various suggestions.
