blame ur parents - not Islam.. religion has nothing to do with this - IMHO i think she just found it an easy route to blame the religion and become the centre of attention.. the media out there is HUNGRY for all this stuff - its the same with Asra Nomani.. fine she might have had it bad when she got married but it wasnt ISLAMs' fault - its sickening how easy it is to blame your religion because its an easy way out and not blame your parents or the society for the norms theyve set.. i understand Shariah has some strict rules for women but where is it now when your going on "kissing and telling" on national TV? i think maybe thats where ur parents TEACHING comes in & ur family values come in -
Abuse happens everywhere - physical, sexual, verbal - i think if we all put our heads together there might have been a time when our parents must have given us a good beating or 2.. but are we going all over the media and reciting our sob story to them - what her parents did was wrong.. but then again life is harsh - & if ur mother did hire a hitman to kill u where in Islam is it written to do that?? My ex-inlaws were planning to burn me alive, for my accidental death benefits - so do i go out and get someone to interview me about that too because trust me my story TOPS this one on every leap and bound & no Islam didnt have anything to do with it - Alhumdulillah if it werent for Islam, i wouldnt have been able to get out of tht hell hole -
some people here might disagree with me - but oh well!
I second what mysti said. the parents are at fault.
