the thing is my mother's gharara is the combo of pink silver n gold....i might put up its pic someday so that you can get a clear idea about it...anyway

Can we wear pink color on the first day of wedding? like if not red then what are the other color options?

ps. i dont want to wear red on my wedding.

doesnt it hehe

yes they are called kaleere and no they are not a tradition but on each of my functions I wanted to do something unique

for the mehndi i wore a laacha which no one in my family has worn along with a rajisthani tikka/maatha patti and rajisthani payal and I came in on a doli (my poor brothers they still complain abt their poor shoulders hehe

poof

on rukhsati i revamped my mom's gharaara and wore kaleere (YOU'VE SEEN THE PICS :D)

on valeema i wore a lehnga that had two layers a layer of jamawar with a layer of net over it...ontop of it it had a train and the dupatta was made of 1 piece of blue jamawar one piece of blue net and 2 pieces of pink jamawar sewn together ..i also had a very unique plaitunum and diamond set which was causing huge stress for my husband he was scared it would get stolen from me on our way to the venue lol

actually this gharaara has been through a lot my mom moved out of pakistan and this gharaara was left at her in laws and my mom's nands (i.e. my phuphos) and even the daughter of one of my phuphos wore it to their weddings so no it was not at all preserved but since it was and expensive gharaara when it was bought and made from quality fabric it kept well :)
