hey everybody
ok now id like getting married to my cousin. but my mom isnt really fond of her in laws and she has this typical pakistani grudge against them. my mom hates her mom :D…but im firm on my ground and lately ihve been getting labels from my mom…tht i cheated her and tht im going against her wills n all.
has anyone here a nice anecdote to cheer me up? whr mom’s love eventually pervails and she agrees?

Will you be living with your parents after marriage as well? If so, this will make things more challenging....because you'll have to be the peace-maker and give your wife the emotional support she needs without offending your mom.
What are the issues that your mom has against her own sister? Talk to your mom calmly. Start the discussion in a positive manner. Tell your mom that you love her and that you appreciate all that she's done for you and that your cousin is not taking her place......nor do you love her any less. Tell your mom that you just want there to be peace between two families for Allah's sake...........and that this is not an indication that you are taking your Khala's side.
Perhaps a family discussion can help to resolve matters. OR.......is there an elder in the family that you can speak to? For example a nana or nani or elder khalas/mamoos????? Is there anyone who has the authority to speak to your mom and khala on your behalf and and help them end their conflict and compromise?

its not her sister..its my mom's in laws. the girl is my paternal cousin.taya ki beti. my khala or pretty much anyone from my maternal side will support her. but i guess she will have to give in eventually.right?

She has to be afraid if you bring a girl against her wills who knows what you will do when she's old. Times are really bad man i just saw on Geo News a guy locked his mom up jut cause his wife told him. But still you gota listen to your parents they know what they're talking about.
