I made a lehanga for myslf and gave 50 % percent advance payment, when the person showed me the lehangaa it didnt come out to my expectation, i found it to be too plain, like less embroidery… any idea wht should i do?? i thought i wud make a JAMWAAR lehanga, and then wear the chiffon embroidered over it, then atleast it would have a fancy look, and the plain chiffon where there is no embroidery wud give a fancy look…can anyone give me a suggestion how wud jamwaar lehange look under red chiffon???
Another problem is tht the colour of my lehanga is also not the colour red which i wanted, so wht shld i do… i was thinking tht if i put sum darker colour shade od red SHAMEEZ under it,so the colour of the chiffon wud be reflecting tht colour of shameezzz… wht do u think??

Didn’t you see a sample before you ordered?
I am not a big fan of Jamavar but this is done oh so nicely, just so you can get an idea…So this way you can make this ‘chiffon’ shirt on the heavier side and still get away with less kaam on the lehnga (bottome part) itself.
As goes for the colour of the shirt/slip I don’t know that is a tricky one, without seeing the colour you mention, It’s hard to imagine which kind of tone you want? but do keep in mind pictures always turn out different of the silhouette than it’s actual colour, you don’t want the colours to end up looking ‘dull’

thankk you every111 for replyingg.....actually, i m having a short shirt, like uptill my waist...and the lehangaa is chiffon with all the kaam and swaroski crystals on it...and to b frank enuff dunn have more budget to spend on it...so just have to go with it...so wanted to ask tht for the lehanga if i use a jamawaar lining, how will it luk??? anyone has done tht before?? like I WANT TO USE JAMWAAR AS A SHAMEEZ UNDER MY LEHANGAA....can anyone give me a gud advise

normally we see lehangaas with ATAL as a shameez....how will jamawaar luk as a SHAMEEZ under lehangaa?? like if i get it stitched separately and then wear chiffon lehanga over it???? any ideass??

It would only work if the chiffon is sheer - if the chiffon is too thick and you can't see the jamawar lining it would be pointless.
Another option, if it's a lengha, can you split it (have a long chaak) down the front or side so that the jamawar shows through? You can also raise the height of the chiffon overlayer and have the jamavar show around the bottom - this would be a double-layer lengha.

i appreciate sehrish's idea alot..its great..if u want to distract eyes off from ur lehnga.. the thing u need to do is a tricky dopatta setting.. set it in such a way that pallu comes in front from the shoulder n hangs down till ur knee or more down if u want..from doosri side.. leave pallu peeche.. 2ndly this will also help in some distaction or beautifying the short shirt.. another thing that may work is ur hairdo.. can u try some open hair??
