We started a square foot kitchen garden in out backyard. This is new technique to grow vegetables
Since it is first attempt in new city results are mixed.
We were successful in growing.

  1. Onion
  2. Bell Pepper in 3 different colors.
  3. Two different color tomatoes.
  4. sarsoon da saag.
  5. dhania
    6.Bhindi
  6. Various kinds of mirchain.
  7. Two kinds of mooli
  8. Mutter.
  9. Piaz
  10. Tori
  11. Lettuce
    Failed to grow:
  12. Bhuttay
  13. Cucumber
  14. Palak
    Still waiting for :
    Baigan to grow , they are flowering.

Wow , Mirch, this is so commendable , beautiful ..

At my place we have a garden and we tired growing different things but it didnt work . We had tried pears , corriander , green chillies .. the plants died out very quickly. People say its because we have rain all the time and very little sun. Also because we are next to the sea to we have loads of salts in the matti as well .

We are not giving up though. Told my husband that we will keep on trying with different kind of seeds and at different times of the year. We have just threw in seeds of mint so lets see !

I would like to learn some gardening here as my attempts have almost always failed.
