Ponsonby is pretty funky, all the Shortland Streeters hang there on the road side Cafes...
Pretty hard to beat with anything here, unless you are in the very Posh end of Karachi or Lahore...

That's alright. I hate shortland street it's the crapiest thing ever to be aired on TV. They sure make you laugh (ironiclly). I am pretty desi by heart or so I think I don't think that I will have trouble living anywhere as long as it is safe and sound all thumbs high up there.

I was on Jervois road for about 5 years technically Herne Bay and Ponsonby for another 2, and then moved to town right by the Queen Street/IMAX/Village for another 3
I went to AUT then moved to Wellington to Vic Uni
I came back for family obligations..still kinda miss NZ

I liked Shortland Street, my wife was the real fan, I caught what I could, it was essential viewing as I was studying media, Television and Drama there so in absence of anyother local dramam SS was an institution..
if you think SS is crap..oboy you are in for a big shock with all the crap that passes for drama in Pakistan nowadays..makes me long for a half hour dose of SS...

I know what you mean, i mostly avoided them there as well, but i did hang out and work with a group of Indian filmmakers, actors and comedians etc....

The people i worked with were great people, them being Indian came second to that...you might have heard of them, the comedians did those..stage plays called D'Arranged Mariage..funny guys
