im really worried, i have got the most beautiful wedding lengha … but my wedding set is just gold its gna ruin the whole look. Should have got a antique gold set that would have matched perfectly but we were rushed for time .
been looking at alot of wedding pics and EVERYBODY seems to have perfectly matching jewllery.
You know, my mother had a ruby set made for me, but it's rubies are the magenta kind, and my dress had a very brilliant red. I was afraid it would look bad, but I didn't feel that it did. It just looked like a deeper shade.
If it really bothers you, you can ask the photographer to tint it in photographs where it is more obvious.
but the wedding is in real and not in photos
i suggests that either u shuld run to jewellers and ask them to change the beads/ oxidise the colour or just forget about it and have a great laugh and enjoy ur wedding
1) take your set to the jeweler, ask them to change the lacquer (they can dip it in solution and it will look antique, or white gold, or bright 22 kt, or black, or whatever colour you want!!)
OR
2) a little bit more time consuming and a bit more expensive: change the pipings/facings of your lehenga. you could get gold pipings put on to your dupatta and lehenga and it will go with the set
(my set is emeralds, my outfit is red, i am getting green pipings on it inshaAllah)
hope it works out for you!
I think you should go for lacquer, it is the most easiest way you could go with. Lacquers are in different colors. Go for the colors in your lehnga ( other than red). you ll end up getting an antuqie look on you set.
Good luck !
post your lengha and set, then we can tell you if it looks bad or not. Knowing how expensive gold is these days and if you exchange it you won't quite get a nice deal, I won't suggest exchanging it for anything else.
lol naaah i cannot post the pics just yet.. but i will after the wedding for definate!
i cant wait to wear my lengha cz its absolutly perfect, thanks for all your advice..i still dont kno what to do. i never wear jewllery or earings and if i could have it my way i wudnt on the wedding even lol but my make up artist is coming over next week so ill show her and see what she says.

just ask, it shouldn't be a problem. my cousin is wearing her mums set, it's plain gold. she had a head thingy made in antique gold to match her lengha but the set is yellow gold so she's having an antique polish done.
my jewellry was gold and my lengha was red and lite golden it dint match prefectly but it looked good . im sorry but jeez do all these things really matter no offence to anyone
Alesha is probably married by now as this thread was started over two years ago. I wonder what she ended up doing then. Alesha if you read this please let us know what you ended up doing with your set. Hope your wedding went really well. xx
