Hi can some1 help me my ipod wont work, it has the sad ipod icon.
i’ve connected it to my computer but it just says “please wait battery low”.
can some1 one help me make my ipod happy again?

Okay, so just so people are sure that they have the same problem I did, I’m giving a little background on my problem -
I have an iPod mini and I’ve had it for 2 and a half years now. About a couple of months ago, it would just stop midway through a song and say something like ‘low battery, please re-charge’ even though, there was more than enough battery time left. So I would go home, stick it into the charger and as long as it was in the charger, it worked just fine. Then as soon as I took it off, within a minute into hitting play, I would get the same error message again. I even went so far so as to charge it undisturbed for two days and nothing worked.
So after calling Apple and finding out I’d need to pay $77 just to get a new battery (!!!) and was considering getting a new one, I decided to do one last thing and try putting the iPod into disk mode. As soon as I put it in disk mode, I reset it… and it’s been 3 days now and I haven’t gotten that error message since.

Note: It will no go into disk mode while plugged into charger or computer. Unplug it from charger reset it again, and follow the procedure.
PS: It may just be a case of waiting for the battery to re-charge. Have you been charging it for a while and it still indicates ‘low battery’?

i've tried putting it in disk mode but the same sad ipod icon comes up, and every time i try charging it the ipod gets hot. :(

Call Apple Tech Support, and if its under the warranty period you will likely get a free repair and/or replacement.
It could be your battery altogether that needs replacing. But do not do it yourself if your ipod is under 1 year old because it will void your factory warranty.

hopefully your ipod will land safely in ipod heaven…only if songs on it were not pirated or downloaded free of charge.

ipod is bulit in a way that they die out soon and make u want to get a new one whenever thenew models come otu!

I connected it to my computer but nothin happened and i dont have an apple computer.

u could try to restart it by pressing the circle in between and the menu button for 6 secondz together hope it helpz :k:
