Re: My Indian buddy wants to visit Pakistan
no:(
Re: My Indian buddy wants to visit Pakistan
I think it can still take a couple of months. For a US/UK etc passport holder it might be less. But one good thing lately is the freedom of movement. earlier visitors were allowed only 3 locations/cities/districts to visit on their stay, now as far as i've heard, this restriction has been removed and visitors can move around as desired.
Re: My Indian buddy wants to visit Pakistan
YES! visa took only 3 days to be delivered to me! (french passport)
Re: My Indian buddy wants to visit Pakistan
Noor, you were granted a visa because you are a gori. Indians getting visa to Pakistan, good luck. Go to Jamaica instead.
Re: My Indian buddy wants to visit Pakistan
really? I guess the pakistanis sitting in consulate and embassies are *&%$ #1 cuz gora/goris present more danger to Pakistan than an Indian visiting his ancestral village in Jhelum or Multan.
Re: My Indian buddy wants to visit Pakistan
Expat I see your raves and rants against Pakistan all the time. Now you have picked this topic to get your steam out.
Are you talking about Pak visas based on personal experience? If so then describe it to help us figure out the source of your anger.
We have now many Bharati (especially Sikhs) permanently based in Pakistan. I have met so many Bharatis who were able to visit Pak and really enjoy it.
They all say the same thing over and over as to how clean, and how rich Pakistan is.
So get out of your ghetto or $hut up.
How long it has been that you were back in Bharat. Next time you visit Bharat Desh, just buy a local ticket via bus or train (if you can't afford air ticket), and show up on the other side of the border. You will like the people and places. I guarantee that!
Re: My Indian buddy wants to visit Pakistan
He is a proud member of RS****E anti, and also supports the Kabuli Commies, my guess is that he wasnt granted a Pakistani visa, which explains his rather odd behaviour here.
Re: My Indian buddy wants to visit Pakistan
Can you get as good ganja in Pakistan as in Jamaica? I thought not. Oh yes and we Hanoods love Afghanis just as you guys love Chinese. That follows from your own theory. MY enemy's enemy is my friend. Why should it bother it so much if somebody else uses the same logic? And hey Antiobl, don't ***** about someone not liking Pakistan when you yourself have not posted one positive comment about Bharat in all your life.
Re: My Indian buddy wants to visit Pakistan
A letter in today's (April 25_ The Dawn.
Cart before the horse
STARTING the Thar Express before the opening of consulates in Karachi and Mumbai is like putting the cart before the horse. The number of empty seats on the train to and from Pakistan shows that we have got our priorities wrong.
If someone living in Karachi or the rest of the Sindh has to go all the way to Islamabad to get a visa and then come all the way south to board the Thar Express, then is it worth spending all the time and money? The worst plight is that of Pakistanis going from Umerkot or Digri or even Sukkur to Islamabad.
At least the residents of Karachi have the facility of sending their visa applications and passports through a courier appointed by the Indian high commission.
In India the Pakistan high commission offers no such facility. The sight of people camping outside the high commission in Delhi in the biting cold of Delhi winter and the scorching heat of the city’s summer, not to speak of heavy monsoon rains, is pitiable.
Why doesn’t Pakistan offer courier facilities to visa applicants in India? Not too long ago this writer met a poor old woman outside the Pakistan high commission in Delhi who had come all the way from Bangalore, not once but twice to get the visa.
The man who fills the visa application forms for less educated people outside our high commission said that hers was one of the many cases in hundreds, if not in thousands, who apply for Pakistani visa. The apathy of the people inside the fortified walls of the high Commission is to be seen to be believed.
If Pakistan doesn’t get a suitable place in Mumbai to open its consulate in the main city, it can always look for a place in the suburbs, and until that happens, our high commission can open a camp office in Baig Mohammed School, Mumbai, as it used to do in the 60s and the 70s.
If nothing else we can offer the facility of sending visa applications to Delhi through selected couriers. The one in Karachi is doing a fairly good job and one can be reasonably certain that their counterparts in India could be equally efficient.

Re: My Indian buddy wants to visit Pakistan
Absolutely! If you have money to fly there and afford to buy it.
However I suspect, you want to walk 2 feet from your 7-11 over to the Jamaican drug dealer and beg for some ganja. What he takes from you as "return service", is anybody's guess.
Re: My Indian buddy wants to visit Pakistan
Awwwwww. A really sorry case of sour grapes.

Hindu pilgrims killed in Pakistani attack
SUKKUR, PAKISTAN: Unidentified gunmen attacked a convoy of Hindu pilgrims in Pakistan killing two and wounding seven, police said on Monday.
While violence between militants from Muslim sects is relatively common in Pakistan, the country’s tiny Hindu minority has not suffered serious violence in recent years.
The convoy of about 20 vehicles carrying Pakistani and Indian Hindus was attacked late on Sunday in a remote part of Sindh province, police said.
“They were returning from a holy place when three armed men opened fire and killed two men and wounded seven,” said police official Rana Sanaullah.
Sanaullah and hospital officials said all of the dead and wounded were Pakistanis.
“It was terrorism. They’re trying to discourage us from coming here,” said one pilgrim from India, Ramesh Lal.
Pakistan has recently relaxed entry restrictions for Hindus and Sikhs from India wishing to visit holy sites, as part of gradually improving relations between the South Asian rivals.

^^ Idiots. Travelling in interior Sindh and expecting perfect safety.
Re: My Indian buddy wants to visit Pakistan
^^ Residents of rural Pakistan must understand the earning potential of tourism. Unfortunately tribalism, and resulting paranoia is resulting in unfortunate deaths of tourists as well law enforcement agents.
Sad utterly sad.
Re: My Indian buddy wants to visit Pakistan
calling a province by a name derived from its ethnic majority is absolutely normal for us, europeans, and do not involve separatist views, except for some odd lefties (kommies).
Re: My Indian buddy wants to visit Pakistan
major business suffer from insecurities! look at africa, black africa, most of it is utterly underdevelopped because of rampant civil wars and ethnic conflicts!
rural pakistan must beware of it!
But the sad fact is that peace can not be reached when the pressure on natural ressource is so high as in pakistan, natality rate is high, but lands are dryer due to climatic evolution (partly global warming too, now:bummer:).
tension on natural ressource leads to conflicts, and any petty conflict can lead to endless fights.
millions of people in rwanda were mass murdered because of shortage of available agricultural land for young people who wanted to marry and start a family
lessons to learn from
Re: My Indian buddy wants to visit Pakistan
Sad utterly sad.
Absolutely. Tribalism ought to end in order for the rural population to contribute effectively to the nation's economy. More development in these areas would not only improve the law and order situation but also reduce the influx of people into urban areas like Karachi which are already bursting at their seams.
