You can’t convince him now, and you won’t be able to convince him after you get married and use your “charms” on him. If he is this much adamant, then he will remain adamant forever about you working. If he can’t understand the predicament you’re going through how do you expect him to understand everything you will be going through once you get married? This is just an engagement, not a marriage. You can’t take anyone’s money if you’re not married to him, no matter how much the man thinks it’s ok, and later on, trust me, you will receive taanay that “I supported your parents with my money therefore you have to obey me”. Are you honestly ready to go through hearing that day in and day out?
