Confused, I had created a rainbow background in Photoshop and then I did the adaba kadabra you had taught us in this thread. Then I wanted to put my pic without the white background. Also, the quality of the pic is not similar to what I had created in the .psd format. So any suggestion.
Another question, how could you emboss a pic on an exisiting layer of another pic. so you see one pic but u see the second pic embossed text you had taught earlier.

I don’t think its possible for jpeg/gif quality to be as high as the .psd one (coz they are both compressed versions). But you can certainly change it to an extent—> when you ‘save a copy’ as a jpeg—> the program asks you what quality level you would like (ranges from 0 to 12) Try the highest quality (level 12) You can keep trying diff levels to get a good bal between quality and image size. Does this help?!

Now, let us know how to emboss a picture using different picture. Like the one you had done with Minar-e-Pakistan
Btw, I just noticed my guppie face which you had taken has more description of borders. Is there anything more than just HIGHLIGHT picture COPY and PASTE to your main picture?
Also, I have Phothop 5.0 and 6.0 but not the darmyan wala so the lesson you gave earlier in this thread for render layer. I don't have that option in 5.0 or 6.0. Also, the 2nd lesson I can do it upto PASTE INTO but after that I don't get the REMOVE LAYER so I tried DISCARD LAYER in 6.0 but invain. Any suggestion?

basically in THAT effect, i had used a 1% fill, (NOT visible to human eye OR the monitors we use, but logically its there).. so computer can SENSE it.. then i had used a blurring effect, then sharpened it, then made it in a FOURTH channel, (instead of normal RGB channels i had used an ALPHA channel, black’n white that is) and then .. oh mannn

cuz if its other way around, that a PICTURE popping out like the INVISIBLE text did, then for GUPPY face atleast its gonna be ugly effect..
but if u r thinking of meenaar-e-pakistan side, what in THEORY i did was:
took a meenaar , SELECTED it, highlighted the BACKGROUND (where the montage was sitting), and then filled it up with (EDIT > FILL) a 1% shade of ANY foreground/background color in the pallet, and THEN applied a black and a white shadow at APPROPRIATE places.. this way it LOOKED like its embossing FROM the layer of colorful surface.. (its a MORE towards an ILLUSION kinda thing than a REAL effect) …

Qrius, the new lessons are here now…I am sure there’s a lot to learn. I recently saw some amazing professional work done in Photoshop. It seems it will take ages to get that far. Thankfully, we have got a good expert amongst us.
well, ummmm…i did sum punga with photoshop for the first time and this is wat i came up with. it’s not so good but i hope to improve by learning wat is being taught here.
