i jus wana ask that has nyone seen sonya’s makeup at sabs?howx it?m getting in nov n i just called them up today n they said that saba wont be available n that sonya can do ur makeup,but i hav never seen her makeup.plx help me out/.

hey! i got my mehndi makeup done by sonya and bridal makeup done by saba. the mehndi makeup came out amazing. ofcourse my dad freaked out when he saw me cuz the makeup hadnt set in at that time, but everyone else LOVED it and the pics came out amazing. so shes definitely excellent for mehndi makeup. as far as her bridals go, i only saw them while i was getting ready for the mehndi and wedding. some of the brides were somewhat white but that really wasnt sonya's fault as there are other girls there that put on the foundation/base. so just make sure u put in only as much as u r comfortable with. then again, they will tell u that its like that because it takes time to settle in specially as the night goes on. most of the brides i saw at sabs were very pretty so i think she will do a pretty good job.
^ Always ask for one person to do u're makeup! Makeup is never nice when someone does u're base...another does contouring..one does u're eyes etc. U're paying for it and u must ask ONE person to do it.. it's not factory production line, it's sumone's face!

^ yeh but the girl is right there doing it under the supervision of either saba or sonya. i didnt think it was a big deal. the girl did the base. and then saba did rest of the makeup. and saba told her exactly what to apply and how to apply it. there werent 3-5 people working on one persons face.

^ that sucks. though what really matters at the end is if a good job has been done. ofcourse its unlikely that something good would have come out with so many people doing it. "too many cooks spoil the broth."
^ When u're paying, always stick to one person blv me it makes a world of diff! The person doing u're base shud be the one doing the rest of u're makeup..

Allenora sucks big time. Sabs is a good place. Ive fixed my appointment with Saba for december. Other makeup artists at Sabs there are good too. i agree with others that it isnt a good idea to let multiple people play with your face. Allenora tends to do that and they dont even let you see!

Sonya is amazing.. she did mine & my sis party make & my bhabi's engagement & valima make up & saba did her wedding make up & i must tell u tht sonya did a gr8 job i just fell in love with her make up & i saba didnt do nice make up at all & i have seen saba's live make up & believe me she is not gud as sonya..

i agree with you but do you know about model bridal? that's what this makeup is actually called.
I have visited them and seen brides at family weddings who got their makeup done at sabs, theres no bride i recall not looking good.
and trust me with the lights and camera in weddings it all looks perfect.

hey i got my bridal makeup done by saba and and mehndi makeup done by sonya and both were phenomenal. I had 3 chachis, 2 puhpos, 2 nands, 1 cousin, 1 sister, and my mom who got party makeup done at sabs on the day of my mehndi and wedding. i have advice
1) make sure your whole khandan doesnt make appts at the same place as u, although they did a great job on nearly everyone, we kept getting delayed
2) u will feel like they put a lot of base on u, but ive had about 11 women including myself say the same thing over and over again to the artists there and they all said dont worry about it, and once we got to the hotel everyone looked fine.
3) although the base may look weird but settle down later, if ur eye make up makes u look like a clown, or u feel uneasy about it, make sure u voice it! same thing about lipstick, although lipstick cant make u look as bad as eye shades can. the only thing with eye makeup is that it if ur wearing a bright color, u dont need to have a bright, same shade eye color.
4) ask ur relatives, or someone else u know dearly to give u an opinion before u walk out the salon because once u leave, most likely u will not be coming back to ask them to fix it.
P.S. I saw a few dulhans get ready by Saba and they all looked amazing. I had gotten into an argument with Saba and another girl doing the hair so I think they took extra care of me cuz i was practically yelling at them since they were delaying me. you cant go wrong with bridal makeup once uve made an appt with saba. anyhoo, just make sure u have atleast one person (2 would be better) there, or at any salon to give u a good opinion!
recent input for Sabs
i have read the thread about Sabs. but i need opinions from people who had any recent experience. i am going to book it for my wedding in march. Tayyaba is no longer there, so i need suggestions wrt the artist, other than Saba.
i want a soft look and not the model one...
please help since i dont really have time!!!

also i was browsing yesterday n saw the fb group for Riz Khan, she is a big makeup artist i guess in the UK so i was looking through her pics and she has the same pics that r said to be of sabs from the website karachisnob.com
so now im confused that who really did the makeup for these brides?????
