'junaid001' from what I've heard from DHL reps in NY, OCS acts as an Intermediary for DHL. FedEx, to my knowledge, has to intermediary. Aside from that, FedEx is more reliable with shipments to N.A. compared to DHL as DHL doesn't have a strong network in N.A. Last time I got a EXPRESS shipemnt from DHL it took almost one week. I was furious as I wasn't able to track my shipment since it went from OCS to DHL and IT was 4 days late. How pathetic! During the same week I rec'd a shipment from FedEx in 3 business days!!! DHL charged me Rs.6000+, FedEx charges Rs. 3500 for the same weight...some where around 2-4 KGs. In fact I think my parcel from DHL was lighter.
Uggghhhh...I hate DHL. Their freakin red and orange truck pisses me off everytime I see it on the road.
well we use fedex as well and yes its best when parcel is out of pakistan.
its worst untill parcel is picked up, their staff is demotivated, they have issues with packaging material and you had to call them to get the shipment picked up whereas with DHL its online.
Fedex is using intermediary which is Gerrys international here, but parcels are sent through fedex.
yes DHL has serious issues, last year our package contents were stolen, and lost few good customers due to that. we stopped using them.
but
TCS and DHL are separate entities in Pakistan, although TCS uses DHL but its not DHL pakistan but DHL DUbai.
so what happens is TCS sends parcels to their dubai office and dubai office hand them over to DHL dubai that is reason it took 4 + days.
dhls average delivery time to US is 72 hours except NY 48hrs, and fedex average delivery time to US is 48 hours.
