Cake was set and made by my sisters, 1st attempt on a large simple engagement cake, turned out quite well, she inserted real pink roses and set the top arrangement herself too just had to work with my theme!

My fiance bless x did compliment with my attire by wearing the Pink tie, meeting my whole khaandaan and mashllah lots of them there is he was a bit hesitant on wearing a pale pink shirt so carried the tie well.
Being a designer myself I was unable to make an engagement outfit of my choice within 3 weeks notice, (things moved rapidly as soon as his ammi got to know of us seeing each other and ramadhan creeping up left no time) It was tough picking up somthing off the rack but i had to come to terms with accepting the best i could get, mashallah say got a sweet baby pink lengah outfit, not too heavy not too light, ammi gave the thumbs up too : ) so got it altered, got lovely pink crystal sandals, accessories and hey presto! had a few doubts with styling, on or off duppatta (gupshup came into it) hair & make up was done by myself, that was my engagement x This all took place in East London, will be marrying in March 09 in Essex a beautiful Estate inshallah but of course before that have 3 functions Registry/Nikkah & Mehndi
