my elbow is hurting - weights related

I’ve been lifting weights for quiet some time now and uhh about two weeks ago I felt this little pain in my right elbow and within a day or two it grew to an extreme. I stopped lifting and the pain subsided. I’ve been using heating pads and ice and that has helped with pain a lot but if I do even a single push-up the pain starts to come back, same thing with my cardio and karate, any small movement of the arm and I get shrieking pain.
So, should I ride it out even more, probably a month or so, or go to a physician, I might’ve torn a muscle or something.

Go to a Doctor…you may have hurt a ligament…and hopefully not anything else.

I broke my elbow long time back(it wasn’t that bad..didnt require operation or anything)…but still now I cannot lift something heavy at a certain angle. Weightlifting wise its fine(that only on machines not free weights) But certain angles hurt like hell:bummer:
Take care of it right now…don’t wait!

Re: my elbow is hurting - weights related

yeah that happened to my brother and apparently it turned out to be a hairline fracture.. so get it checked out ASAP!

I would say so to. Pain is an alarm of body telling YOU to STOP!!!
SO STOP!!!

give it complete rest, it it gets little better. DON’T quickly go back to normal routine.

Start working on that muscle very VERY VERY lightly.
It will tell you when ready(healed)

If pain stays after resat. go see doc.

hmm, ok. I haven't lifted any weights for a week now and today I did some regular stretching and push-up and pull-ups and didn't feel pain that much, so I'm assuming the elbow is healing and I know it's not a fracture otherwise I wouldn't be able to put any weight on my arm. I'll wait coupla more days, rest, and if it's still the same i'll go to a doctor.

if pain does not subside within a week or becomes unbearable...go see a doctor.

you may have overextended your arm when lifting.

rest that arm and give it time to heal.
