I have a yellow labrador. Labs will eat anything, and this silly dog of mine decided to go through garbage 2 nights ago. Well in the garbage were pistachio shells and this silly dog ate 'em. Well now she can’t poop. She has been trying but nothing comes out. She has been barfing her brains out and her puke stinks.
While I will take her to the vet this evening, I was wondering if any Guppies had any ideas to get her going. She drank water, but she won’t eat. I can tell when soemthing is wrong beasue she never refuses to eat.
I am sad over this and I need help. Serious responses please I am a dog lover.

Try prune juice if she can’t poop and cranberry juice if she can’t wee.

As the proud owner of two German Shepards I have had the same thing happen. Only worse. After Thanksgiving one year my big male dog dragged the carcass of the turkey off the kitchen counter and ate a great deal of it. The problem was that the bones can clog up a dog pretty badly and puncture the intestine. Can't really see the same thing happening with pistachio shells.
The vet will know what to do, but the details are probably too graphic for the family oriented Gupshup. Suffice it too say that the dogs eyes will bug out in a way that you have never seen before, making him resemble Abdali discussing a North Korean missle!
The barfing is a really bad sign, so don't skip the vet appointment hoping it will get better. Give him/her lots of water until then, so it does not get dehydrated, and to help things along.

Ohio Guy thank you very much for the advise. I have been giving her a lot of water. I hope she doesnt have to go through surgery.
Your comment about N.Korean missiles is very funny.
Here is the update my: wife is bringing the dog to the vet at 11:45am.

Our vet is SO good, they understand that I have 3 little ones and to get all 3 AND the 120 lb doggie into the office on a busy street isnt possible....so all i have to do is call them when I get there and they will come to my car and take her in....prayers please for Sheena....poor girlie LIVES for food, she's like a crack addict when it comes to food but she hasnt been eating at all and has been vomiting lots.
