Ok came across something interesting today. An operator working here from past 30-35 years came to see me about some problem. During the conversation he told me that his departmental manager is his DAUGHTER. My 1st thought was how a desi parent would react in this situation?
Keeping mind, working in this setup is not same as working in a family business. There are situations when daughter has to take a position, which she herself as a daughter would not be happy with, if someone else was taking that position against her dad (does it make sense?).
Now the question, how would you react if you are in their shoes. Your views as daughter and the father?
Good companies have a policy where two relatives cannot work in the same department.
