She doesn’t eat and I can’t force feed her cause she’ll just end up gagging. She’s 2. Usually she’ll just eat what ever we’re having.
So anda-toast for breakfast. An apple or pear and the motts for tots juice.
Lunch mein she’ll have mac n cheese (which she used to love), rice and saalan or roti. Half an hour later she has a glass of milk and takes a nap (if she’s up for it).
Dinner is usually roti/rice saalan.
I need some ideas to make her eat her food. She sits at the table in her chair which she’s been doing since she was 5 months old.
She refuses to take more than 5 bites at each meal. I don’t know what to do
Help!!!
Hopefully she is not sick.
Around or after 2 years of age, they say that eating habits can change. The kids become more picky and selective about what they want to eat.
If she eats in her chair,do not change that habit. It is a great one.
Do you or your husband (when he is at home) sit with her when she is eating? If not,try to sit and eat with her and she might just pick up more bites if she sees you eating.
Try more variety. They very quickly get bored of same stuff two days in a row.For example, instead of mac cheese, try some other shape of pasta or noodles with meat sauce or veggies.
I really know how you feel.I have a very fussy, picky and choosy eater at my hands. There are days she actually has not even a single meal..just a nibble here and there. It drives me insane some days. But I do not run after with food.I mealtime is over,it is over no matter she eats or not.

No, she's not sick.
We eat with her at the table but she only takes a few bites and doesn't want to eat more.
The mac n cheese was just an example. I give her different foods everyday but she wont eat it :( The thing is that I know she's not full but she just doesn't want to eat anymore and then she'll get really cranky cause she didn't eat enough.
Any good breakfast ideas other than waffles, anda toast and cereal/oatmeal?? Maybe if we start the day with a big and healthy breakfast she'll eat better during lunch and dinner? Idk what to do
omg I'd never give my kid soda!! She's never even tasted pepsi or any other kinds of soda. I only give her the motts for tots juice (it's especially for toddlers) or fresh home pressed juices. She never has sweets, no candies, cake nothing like that.
She just doesn't want to eat. She starts spitting the food out if I manage to put a spoon in her mouth and starts saying "NOOO".
hrm... how about you involve her in the grocery shopping and food preps? maybe ask her to pick out the fruits or veggies she wants to eat when you're at the grocery store, and then let her help while you prepare it, even if its just tossing a salad or stirring the salan? maybe that will get her enthused about eating?
my kid went thru a low appetite phase around this age too. pediatrician said it is normal for them to do it at that stage where rate of growth naturally slows off. still not a big eater, but not too skinny, has tons of energy, says all kinds of funny things, what do i care if she eats a ton or not. we have her mom for that.
Their appetite slow down significantly around 2 as queer said, their body is no longer growing as fast , so the portion of food they require decreases significantly. Most parents do not realise this and increase their portions instead.
The other thing is try and reduce the amount and size of snacks in between meals, as it could be affecting her appetite at meal times.
Also space out her main meals into 2 smaller meals, their stomach are as big as their fists, they can only get so much in at one time.
Finally, toddlers tend to eat as much as they need to, and stop when they're satiated, so don't stress out if they dont finish everything on the plate. When they say they are done, they usually are done.
dont take tension jb babies ko bhook lgti hy to khud e khanay ki trf bagtey hn. un kay peechay hr wqt pray rehna k kha lo kha lo is not a right solution
