“Beta, this is my camera and I love it more than you. Do not break it :)”
Okay, he didn’t really say that, but he was hinting it. This is the very camera my uncle used to take pictures at my parent’s wedding! My Dad bought it for $500 sometime in the late 70s when he first came to America all alone from Pakistan. It’s a Canon AE-1. They don’t even make these cameras anymore.
Even though it’s really old, it’s an amazing camera. My dad bought two lenses for it - one for close ups, and one for normal pictures. Plus, you can choose between various shutter speeds and even prevent backlighting from darkening your main object. It’s even got the notch that you pull up to rewind the film, and that old school flash. Yep, it sure is sweet.
Anyways, I’m gonna buy some film and batteries for it, and shoot away. It’s just too bad it’s not digital, and I don’t have a scanner, so I can’t show you guys. =\
Yea so here’s the camera.

Captain Lota - Okay well I lied. I actually do have a scanner. It's just not hooked up. I don't know how to hook it up, because I don't have the cable (I think my sister stole it to hook up her printer or something). I shall steal it back when I find the opportunity, and hook up the scanner then.
Mainly, my Dad took pictures of the family and some friends when he first moved to America. He also has a picture of him sitting next to Muhammad Ali! (He met him, once upon a time. Came right up to his apartment. He couldn't believe it. He'd been watching this guy on TV when he was a kid, and now he actually got to go up to his apartment and MEET him!)
There is also pictures that my uncle took with that camera of my parent's shaadi. Some pictures turned out blurry, as my uncle did not know how to focus properly (bless his heart). :)
