Good thing that one of the usages you list is “Accident Recording”. Gosh! man… drive carefully, and don’t be fiddling around with all those buttons while you are supposed to keep your eyes on the road. Especially in Lahore, where there is no concept of lane and line.

Id have dual boot with ubuntu ( its much more prettier than xp---)
And get some bluetooth keyboard...

You’ll spend most of the time fixing stuff rather than enjoying your ride.
Btw checkout Ubuntu MID Edition | Ubuntu … thats precisely the distro you need for a touch screen based interface.
You can, but you’ll still need a touch screen LCD. Laptop’s screen won’t be effective.
Also, both laptops are desktops are designed for indoors only. However desktops are more fault tolerant towards extreme environmental conditions than laptops.
