So my mom went to check out my bridal lengha yesterday (the very next morning after her long haul flight to LhR) and my cousin snapped some pix of it…When I saw the piX I was a lil disappointed…BUT my cousin and mom assure me that the lengha looks great in real…the pix look a little off coz they were taken by a “tipsy” cellphone
…the color looks peachy in pix but it is reddish pink in real…

**so what’s the verdict?? sigh
gorgeous! who is it by? it's not the typical lengha ppl expect, make sure u get some fab jewellery!
by Taufiq Hussain....He does custom orders only! He is telling my mom to go easy with the jewelery since the lengha is so gaudy it self....BUT my mom being...the mom of an only daughter wants I don't know...something HUGE...:p
its really pretty! i love the style of the top and the skirt and the colors look lovely too... i would seriously only do chandelier-style earrings, teeka and jhoomar... theres no room for a necklace, even, is there? but i'm guessing your mom wouldn't go for that... in which case, i would do a really small, simple, clean necklace-- theres a lot of kaam. what does the dupatta look like?

***I have not seen the duppata yet BUT I am assuming that the piece sitting on the ottoman next the lengha in the 1st picture is the duppatta...it looks it has same border as the skirt and then "jaal" work all over it...I'd requested Taufiq to keep the duppatta light otherwise it sits heavy on the head and strains the neck....
