I believe i owe a big thanks to this forum and all the ladies.. that helped in deciding a few very important things for my wedding. (esp MUA)
It was a very unique affair as i was the only person from my family who was not in Pakistan when everything was being planned for my wedding.
Everything went perfectly as planned .. Alhamdulilah.
So the wedding was in December, spread around 3 cities with six events (in laws from isl, we are from khi and the rest of my family is in lahore).
Lahore was selected for Barat and Mehndi as it was the center point. Valima was in Islamabad and one Reception in Khi.
Highlights:
- our event manager did a great job, everything was well looked after. There were a few very minor issues which were promptly resolved.
- Food was very good. (as it is the most important thing, we made sure our event manager focuses on that too.. and good that he did)
- Since i arrived only 7 days before the wedding i had no time to go out and sort things. So the guy came to our place two days before to dicuss all the tiny details with me and my brother. It was my first and last meeting with him. But i could guess that he will manage things well.
- Extremelyyy satisfied with Marium’s makeup. Everything was pefrect and how i had imagined… from hairstyle-dupata setting to the makeup.
- Services by Mariums’ saloon. not too happy, got really scary rashes from bleach that was used for skin polish. (luckily make-up covered it up and skin was fine after a few days)
- No words to praise Dr Haroons dress, even though he is not very pleasant on emails (one word replies) he was very accommodating and nice in person. As I went to Pakistan in April for my nikah and only had a week to order my dress. It was surprising to find out that i was already getting late to order :0
- Fitting of the dress and kaam were extraordinary. Price was high, but considering i was very tight on time i thought this was the best option.
- All my jahez k joras were made by a lady called Iram. all of the dresses were greatttt (fitting/kaam/colors/kapra) again i was not around to place the order or give fittings but all the dresses turned out great.
- I will give reviews on the photographers once i will get the final pictures.
I shall stop here.. and if anyone wants more details i am more than happy to share. HAPPY WEDDING PLANNING and Good Luck ![]()
Only one tip: Try to stay relaxed and happy throughout these days as that matters the mosttttt + Pray 2 nafals and ask Allah for his help throughout.
