? you are clearly stupid.

Great, didn't know it was Canadian. Have to go see it now, and help support the Canadian film industry.

Hain? Canadian Movie?

If I'm not wrong, the movie is Tom Hanks' production.

I know it's a hollywood flick that was filmed on locations in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. These Canadians love to take credit where it's not due.

Tom Hanks and wife Rita produced it.

Get your facts straight. Nia Vardalos, made the whole thing. Rita went to the screen play and decided to show her husband Tom the show too. Tom loved it. Rita and Tom just used their contacts to release the movie. Nothing more. Because NIA VARDALOS wrote, acted, and produced(most) of the film, the success is due to her. Look in any source, and you will see that the success is Nia Vardalos's creation.

And, NIA VARDALOS, being a native of Winnipeg(a canadian city). MAKES IT A CANADIAN MOVIE! Still not convinced? It was filmed in Toronto(another canadian city).

THUS I JUST PROVED YOUR LITTLE AMERICAN ASS WRONG.
MAY I SAY,

**AMERICANS BUSTED**

next time, give me something harder to argue about and get your facts from somewhere other than your 2 year old nephew.

I would like to repeat what I said earlier, Tom Hanks and wife Rita produced it.

thus proving? Its still a Canadian film.
go read this for a while : http://www.chico.mweb.co.za/art/2002/2002dec/021220-big.html

what does country mean? does it mean its the place where the movie is filmed? is it where the creator is from?

lets say you an american, make a screen play. and you take it to pakistan to show. and some big shot lollywood actor/actress sees your play, and decides to help you make a movie out of it. you film it in america
what would call that movie? pakistani?

^ Mr. Khan you are contradicting yourself. There are large number of movies made by Hollywood around the world, this is one of them. It is true that more of it was pictured in Toronto but still it remains an american movie. It is not a matter of where it was produced but who produced it? Hope this helps!

Pilot, i dont follow. How does a movie written by a Canadian, and made in Canada become a Hollywood movie?

I beleive it works on the basis of which company releases the movie, whether it's a Canadian company or an American company, regardless of who it's written by.
