So my brother’s wedding is just around the corner and since i am the only sister i have to get everything done for my bhabi-to-be. I need everyone’s help, literally every one to bring in the best of ideas.

She is a fair and tall girl so keep that in mind when deciding designs & colours.

ISSUE#1: The Valima Outfit (she does not give her preferences at all as she wants it to be our choice)

  • Has to be a lehnga/gharara
  • Has to be a light colour* (preferences to off white, light blue, lilac etc. No complete pinks, no magendas, no reds)*
  • Has to be stylish but elegant (her bridal dress is a long shirt)

ISSUE#2: Jewellery for Valima

  • Should not be a large looking set that she does not get to wear afterwards
  • It should be elegant but small by design (leave the weight aside just design)

ISSUE#3: Her Dresses

  • I want ideas! ideas! ideas!
  • I already have many designs but i want variety (e.g. angrakhas, anarkalis, gowns, open shirts etc.)
  • Try to cover as many colours as possible
  • Fabrics? She loves chiffons so ive already decided that but what others?

ISSUE#4: Her bangles/Karras

  • Should be the set of 3 that goes around i.e One single karra in middle and 2 bangles on sides. They can be worn as a set of 3, or just the 2 bangles or the karra alone. Love that concept!
  • Kundan style gold, any stones etc would be nice too

Please girls send me as many pictures as possible. Dont send me too much of bharra hua kaam shaam .. it should just be elegant. Thank you so much!

i think you'd get better feedback if you gave us what budget you're looking at for the valima outfit and jewellery?

also where will you be shopping from? lahore or karachi?

We will be shopping at Lahore. Range for Valima dress is Rs. 50k to 100k, ill get stiched and designed by my karigar so budget isnt a problem, just need designs and same goes for Jewellery, just need designs to show her and my family to decide.

Hmmm. Go thru a mag with yr bhabi and c what she likes. She gotta have some kind of preference. ComeÓn its gonna be her BIG DAY so she better show some enthusiasm.

She has all the enthusiasm but for valima she wants everything to be our choice because she wants us to enjoy the valima day according to everything we like. She wants to dress up exactly the way we want. I have tried asking her many times but she truly wants everything on the valima to be A - Z our choice.

I really like the kaam on the back idea. I am more inclined towards Blues and sea greens/pistachio greens like the shades you posted but my brother has an inclination to off white so thats why i am looking at both.

i think its not a 2 piece dress, its a long dress. or even if there is some kind of skirt under it then it must be without too much gher.
