How is your Canadian family coping with this? How are you doing?
To be honest my heart is still extremely heavy and my body feels sore due to this. My back constantly aches and I am trying to pull myself out of depression step by step.
My extended family in Canada is still in shock. They sort of knew what my dad was like. But frankly, my mum simply does not care anymore.

Good luck Farah and family. Canada is great country with tons of desi people. However, I have heard that jobs are difficult to get in Canada. Anyways congrats on a new beginning. Hope you all can turn your life around.
Your brother has been through a lot, take care of him a lot and give him hope. Tell him that not all women r cow's like the one he was married to. She sounds awful. Let him know that there is no pressure and nobody will force him to do anything that he doesn't want to do. And that in time when he is ready, you will help him, but won't force him on anyone. And the final decision will only be with him, he can get to know a prospective partner before he makes any final decision also. He is bound to have mood swings, he has been hurt and needs time and space to heal from this tragic event in his life. Just be supportive and tell your parents too.

Now is the best time to turn back to Allah Ta'lah swt. HE's the only one who will never hurt us or let us down. HE is the only one who can help you with your troubles. Otherwise this world is just our temporary home and the problems we face in this world will never ever end.
