My Beloved 'Film Noir'

Ever since I discovered ‘Film Noir’, the bestest shade of lipstick by M.A.C. I haven’t been satisfied with anything else. Not only does it look amazingly good, it smells and tastes like chocolate and stays put foreever. Now my last one has gone missing, even though it was almost finished, but God do I miss it.

Praise be to MAC - whoever is behind their amazing products, God Bless you 10 000 times.

Which products do you guys swear by? I mean you girls

I use Christian Dior because thats what my mom first bought me and I am not one for going to several counters and trying different stuff. However I do buy a lip items from Flori Roberts. They have nice shades for tannies like me. smile

clinique products are good. umm sometimes i use loreal as well. :)

Bourjois does it for me.. have the best in matte lipsticks with excellent moisturizing  and such insanely gorgeous colors :tunn:
only problem… don’t get their prouducts in Canada :frowning:

I love MAC too!! A few months ago, I forked out a whole lot on a set of MAC brushes........arghh, it was worth it though, would recommend them to you all.

I love Bobbi Brown products too, however MAC and BB stuff costs almost a third more here in the UK than it does in the US.

Skincare wise, I cannot rave enough about Naturally Active Skincare by Liz Earle, it's the best stuff I found for my combination skin.

Bourjois Paris :k: :k:
I started using their product when the ‘black and white’ mascara was introduced. Good stuff they have.

PS: Never heard of M.A.C.! Is it some kinda abbreviation?

Mac is fantastic stuff. Especially for asian skin tones.

But my all time favourite beauty product definetely has to be Creme De La Mer.....I know its not make up but it certainly works, plus it lasts for ages too.

And they cry when we talk about cars.

I love MAC. They have fantastic products and colours for girls with brown skin tones.

The colours I use are:

Retro
X-Treme
Mystic
Del Rio

Retro is my latest favourites .... although I wear X-Treme quite often. :)

Hey you girls have expensive taste, what with Dior, Bourjois and Creme de la Mer (which is used by all celebs)!

Mehnaz, haven't seen those colours, I'll check them out when I'm in CA. But how come they're cheaper in the UK? I thought MAC was Canadian?

No, it's not an abbreviation as far as I know.

It's cheaper in the US and Canada, sorry if my post didn't come across clear!! :)

MAC is an appreviation for Make-up Art Cosmetics or is Mak-up Artist Cosmetics....... or something along those lines.

MAC and Bobbi Brown are the best in finding shades for Asian skin tones!

oh ok :)

I love their foundation - it's just amazing. You say Bobbi Brown as well? Maybe I should try that.

Cat woman, what can I say.........believe me I have tried to stop using CDLM, but my skin doesn't seem to like any other moisturisers now (its very spoilt!) and I justify the hefty price tag because it actually does work.

I think I'm going to have to start hiding it though.....my husband uses it on the babys nappy rash.

Hey Shareen do you use t/ creme or t/ lotion??

istn't Creme De La Mer a $1000 buks a pop?? Talk about pricey!

Funkydesi, I use the cream....as far as I can tell the lotion is just a more liquidy version of the cream. Not sure how much it would cost in the US, in england it costs about £250 for 200mls. Worth every penny though.

Creme De La Mer is the most expensive cream product that I know of, I had wondered if was really so good.

I have tried differnet brands but Ive noticed that Oil of Olaz lotions is good for daily use for me. Otherwise I used Lancome eyes products, they are really good. For face wash I like Loreal.

Clinique products are really good for sensitive and allergic skin. Christian Dior I have tried the lipsticks, they are good.

Never heard of MAC though, wonder if we have it in Europe ?

You should be able to buy Mac in europe. I've seen it being sold in Paris before. Try your duty free airport shops.

Yeah thanks Shahreen, is buying cosmetic products in duty free really cheaper than in normal shops ? I allways wanted to do a comparision but I tend to forget the prices very soon.

250 pounds, eek I knew the price was steep. But you say it works? I know it's available here, so maybe sometime in the future. Tell your husband to stop using it on the baby!!

Saadia, most cosmetics are slightly cheaper duty free - perfumes too. It really depends on the brand too though.

Catwoman, you really are making me feel guilty now.....but yes it really really does work. It evens out skin tone, plumps up your skin, gets rid of any fine dry lines, and gives you the most wonderful radiant "glow". (I swear I don't work for them!)
