This morning I found out my bank deducted a dollar from my checking account for some apparent reason…now you might be calling me cheap at this point but think of how much the bank would be making if a dollar was taken out from numerous accounts. Would it be silly if i call them?

nope.. because if u r a dollar short they will call u.. and charge ur credit card.. ask them.. its ur right.. and ur money!

The reason I am worried is because i don't know the reason as to why it was taken out...but for a dollar...i am so shy.

Hahh … U’re worried about a dollar ??? I’m guessing u haven’t dealt with TD Canada Trust or CIBC.

you shoudnt feel bad, it is your money after all.
When i opened my student account, with of course their lovely incentive of an interest free overdraft, they had problems with setting up my overdraft. But i'd already made plans for that money and so kept going back day after day asking them whats taking them so long, by the 4th day they'd got so sick of me the branch manager said they'd be willing to 'lend' me money in the meantime if i really needed it!
I look back and cringe at what i did - i mean it wasnt even my money - so yeah at least you'll be asking them about money which is rightfully yours.
