hey every1 am a new mom, me and my baby both of us r sick , shez having running nose cough and fever since yesterday and i have sorethrugh and cough and a litt cold and i breastfeed her, but i cant take any medicen cuz its says not gud for breastfeeding mothers. so i took my daughter to doc and they said give her telnol or tempra, but dat didnt help her. plz help, does any1 noe anything gud i could give her. WAt would u giys give ur baby when they were sick.
p.s my baby is 11 mouth. i’ll be very gratful to u guys for ur answers

Cold Medications for infants have recently come under fire lately and have even been taken off the market in USA. Docs now recommend
warm vapor baths (it works Great!!)
Vicks baby rub
vaporizors
make sure baby stays hydrated
Tylenol or motrin for fever/discomfort.

Exactly what MO3 said. Be sure to drink plenty of liquids. You could even have chicken broth, the both of you.

For yourself you could take panadol or some cold and flu medication that is ok for breastfeeding mothers. There are quite a few things out there. I was on heavy anitbiotics whilst i was breastfeeding which were not at all harmful for the bubz
And yeah, as Mo3 said, medication for children under the age of 2 have really been scrutinised. Even if you take bubz to the doc, they will be very reluctant to give you anything for her.
Just give her nice warm baths... and steam is always good. Vicks baby rub is excellent.. and you can get vapourisers these days to plug into a powerpoint..
Inshallah all will be ok. She'll come out a lil stronger

man the whole house got cold for past 4 days that's why i'm killing ma time here on gupshup. there's not much you can do to treat it just the totkays.....
