Right…so now my little bubba tends to stay awake after I feed him. So what I tend to do now is feed him a little to stop him crying and then I lay him on the floor so that he can have some ‘awake’ time.
He’ll lay awake for a few minutes, like 10mins or so untill he starts getting a little cranky. I then feed him the rest of his feed and then put him to bed.
However, there are points where I he hates to be put to bed so I let him play some more and we just go in criecles.
What shall I do or should I be doing??? Should I let him play?? Im just confused. The thing that I have noticed with my bubba is that no matter how much I feed him during this circle that I meantioned above, i.e. feed, play, bed, feed play etc, he does not go to sleep without me feeding him some more, so there are times when he’ll feed a lot more than normal because of this ‘circle/routine’…*
So what to do?? plz help…what did you guys do??
btw, my bubba is nearly 6 weeks old now Mashallah*

Its a good thing, trust me :) When she was a baby my daughter used to doze off while nursing and so she was hungry every 2 hours, drove me nuts.
Also, how do you determine whats the normal amont for feeding? Every baby has different appetite, no?
Trying holding him close, like Sahar said.... are you swaddling him?

Thnaks for all your responses. Yes but the thing is I dont want to hold him too much as Im worried that he'll get used to me picking up all the time, and I deffo do not want him to get into that habbit.
Dont get me wrong, I do hold my bubba for a little bit, but just dont like to do it for long periods of time to stop him from dveloping thisw bad habbit.
But im worried that the only way he'lll go to sleep is with a feed. despite the fact that he may already have had a full feed 5 minutes before 'awake time' if that makes sense

I bottlefeed him, so he has on average 3-4 ozs of milk sometimes 5. thats how I keep and eye on his feeds and at what point he stops. No I dont sawddle him, just put him in his moses and he doses off. Or he doses off after a feed.
But how long shall i leave him awake for? somwtimes I put him down to bed after he has had his feed even if he is still wide awake just so thathe can go to sleep. Sometimes I feel so bad for leaving him like that, but then I worry about his routine getting messed up. just not sure

my baby is like this too, however she will feed, and then doze off, we dont let her, because she needs to burp and we worry she will vomit, so we wait for a burp, after whcih shes wide awake...and wants more milk. and so the cycle continues...until she falls alslp and hasnt burped for agesssssssssssssssssssssssss and then we put her in her moses basket and stare at her for an hour, lol , once we satisfied shes ok, we fall aslp.phewwwwwwwww
