My Asian Haute Couture Designs. *SairaJi*

Saira ji, price please?

Re: My Asian Haute Couture Designs. SairaJi

Thankyou brummiebird! <3

Jal_Pari: The color of the outfit is a beautiful deep sand color with offwhite threadwork and rich intricate kaam with sequins, pearls and swarovskis in a 100% pure chiffon :) It will also look stunning in a pastel mint green or peachy watermelon with a purple or magenta dupatta which are such in spring colors.
Shipping is done through DHL 3-Day express and is only $35 and comes completewith a tracking number.

Sandalwood: Its only for $100 dear :)

Saira ji, Thanks! What's the fabric material for the outfit & dupatta?

If you want a shimmery sheen to your outfit it can be done in silk. Otherwise the top is a 100% pure chiffon (lined). The capris are charmeuse silk and the dupatta is pure chiffon lined with jamawar. Alternately any of the fabrics can be changed according to your requirements :)

Re: My Asian Haute Couture Designs. SairaJi

Hello Colourfuleyes, she used to be my vendor, as you can see on her thread ALL of the outfits are my creations. However, now I solely work on my own without any official vendor but anyone else incluing her are more than welcome to bring their clients to me.
:)

i like the finish of the thread work on this one and black one above is also a good one.
great work...

HI sairaji, can you tell me the price for this and what material it is plz. also what is the daman and the dupputta like, thank you.

Re: My Asian Haute Couture Designs. SairaJi

The outfit is a 100% pure raw silk for the kameez and pure chiffon dupatta with motifs all over, both kameez and dupatta lined with jamawar piping.
This is a photo from my shoot so you can see the daman :).

Hi guys, thought i would share a strange yet nice incident. Some months back when I was working on my spring semi formals, i made a black outfit in which all of my samples sold out and many clients kept ordering it aswell. Recently I saw Nadia Khan wearing the exact same thing on her show. I know she doesnt wear big shot designers so someone has either gifted her with one of my pieces or either someone has copied it. I am flattered though. Will put up photos of it as soon as I get to see her wearing it on the trailor again :)

Re: My Asian Haute Couture Designs. SairaJi

I agree with Shanice. Things in the Pak fashion industry have dramatically changed over the years. A person who designs original dresses, will typically charge anywhere above Rs 18,000. Case in point. At a recent cousin's wedding, This is what my dresses cost

  1. Red chiffon, Pishwas with MINIMAL kaam- Rs 19,000
  2. Sea green Raw Silk long shirt, capri pants. Medium Embriodary Rs 25,000
  3. Deep green long shirt with wide legged pants. Light kaam Rs 25,000

All three were from lahore based designers. My sister got a Pishwas dress made from Sobia Nazir in Islamabad. My sister provided the fabric and sobia did embroidery and stitching( anarkali style) and it cost a whooping Rs 35,000. She got another one from Rizwan baig, plain mukaish Pishwas also Rs 35,000

So anyways,my point is that it IS expensive to get clothes made in Pakistan. While i felt dizzy having to pay so much for my outfits, it was completely worth it. It was a very special occasion and me and my sister both stood out. Our clothes were NOT loaded with work, they were stylish. Great fabrics, great cut, great tailoring and awesome finishing. I mean one does have the option to go to Main market and liberty to get heavily embroidred stuff for less, but even that won't be cheap.

Just my two cents

Re: My Asian Haute Couture Designs. SairaJi

these days even crappy defence aunties who rip designs from designers, charge ridicules and unjustifiable amounts.

If SairaJi, is an original designer, I think her prices are good.... btw that bridal lehnga is really nice and the price is really good,in comparison to the normal bridal rates. I have a friend who paid Rs 120,000 for a bridal made at liberty uddaz.

Re: My Asian Haute Couture Designs. SairaJi

dooree: So glad to see there are such well aware women amongst us! Glad you live in the new age pakistan where people do not imagine things to be a Rs 200 suit anymore. However, once again I still do not approve of designers overcharging their clients and keeping a 60 percent or more profit margin. Shows poor work ethic and smart money making ideas :)

Re: My Asian Haute Couture Designs. SairaJi

Sairaji, thank you once again for answering my query.
